10 Minute Natural Makeup Looks For Everyday
In today’s fast-paced world, time is a precious commodity, and getting ready in the morning can feel like a daunting task. However, with a few simple makeup techniques, you can achieve a natural, polished look in just 10 minutes.
Whether you’re heading to work, running errands, or just getting out and about, these 10-minute makeup looks will have you looking your best without sacrificing your time.
To Start All Natural Makeup Looks – The Base
The first step in any natural makeup look is starting with a clean base and a good moisturiser (with SPF). This will help to ensure any makeup goes on smoothly, keeping your look natural and your complexion glowing! Depending on how your skin is looking, you can opt for a tinted moisturiser in place of your normal moisturiser, or even a super hydrating primer. If have any blemishes or you are dark under the eyes, dot some concealer, then blend out with a makeup sponge. Then, use a light foundation over the top to even out your skin tone – we suggest using your (clean) fingers a) because it’s quicker, and b) the warmth of your fingers will help your foundation to sit naturally on your skin.
Now, read on for the 10-minute looks!
Look 1: The “No-Makeup” Natural Makeup Look
To create the no-makeup makeup look, add a touch of blush to the apples of your cheeks, working upwards towards your ears. Opt for a dark pink/red hue for a natural-looking flush. This look works best when using a cream blush or tint like Benefit’s Benetint. You can use the same product to dab onto your lips.
Next, apply a coat of lengthening or separating mascara to your lashes to make your eyes appear more awake and alert. Finish off with a lip balm or clear gloss over the top of your lips. This look is quick, easy, and perfect for everyday wear.

Look #2: The Smokey Eye
Contrary to popular belief, a smokey eye doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming – or even dramatic. In fact, with a few simple steps, you can create a subtle, natural-looking smokey eye in just 10 minutes. In the moisturising step, we do suggest applying a hydrating primer to your eyelids. Then, use a neutral eyeshadow shade complementary to your skin tone to define the crease of your eye. Next, apply a darker shade just to the outer corner of your eye and blend it out using a fluffy brush – we love Mac Brun for a black brown, or Mac Mulch for a subtle shimmer. Finish off with a coat of mascara to make your lashes appear longer and more voluminous.
Look #3: The Classic Red Lip
This is a great look for those who want to draw attention away from an area (say the eyes if you’ve not had much sleep) but still look like you’re kicking goals – and only have 10 minutes to do it.
A bold red lip can instantly elevate any look and add a touch of glamour to your day.
The key to using red lipstick is to ensure it doesn’t bleed. There are a few tips we suggest to avoid this: firstly, use a red lip liner to start lining your lips – make sure the pencil is sharp to ensure a clean line. Then, outline your lips with short, feather-like strokes, starting from your upper lip and working your way outwards, or starting from where your lips meet and drawing upwards. Repeat the process on your lower lip. Secondly, once you’ve applied your lipstick, blot with a tissue. Thirdly, if you’re heading to work for a full day or meetings, or attending something important and you won’t have much time for reapplication, try to use a lipstick you’re familiar with – now is not the time for trying new trends. Opt for a lipstick that’s not too drying, and not likely to come off on your coffee mug or shirt collar. We love the Rouge Dior Forever Liquid Transfer Proof Lipstick.
Then, add a touch of blush to your cheeks to create a natural-looking flush, and a coat of mascara to your lashes to make your eyes pop.

Look #4: Let it Glow
Let it Glow is the perfect look for those who want to achieve a natural, fresh-faced look – by simply letting their gorgeous skin the star of the show. With this one, sunscreen, lots of water, plenty of sleep and and great skincare play very important roles, but a flawless complexion is not achievable every day of the week – so here’s a few tips for faking it until you make it or just enhancing that incredible complexion you already have.
Opt for an illuminating primer over the top of your moisturiser, but under your foundation. Then, use a cream highlighter to add a subtle glow to the high points of your face, such as the cheekbones, brow bone, and the top of your cupid’s bow. You can add bronzer to this look too using a creamy stick like Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Contour or Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Contour Wand. Simply draw a “3″ shape along the contours of your face – start at your forehead, sweep down to your temples, then across your cheekbones, and finally down along your jawline, and then buff with a makeup sponge or brush. Add a touch of blush to the cheeks and finish off with a tinted lip balm or a clear gloss for extra glow.
