If you’re looking to experiment with your current glam routine, here are our top ways to achieve a glam makeup look that will look effortless on you!   1. Luminous Skin One thing that all glam makeup looks have in common is a beautiful, your-skin-but-better finish. To achieve this, use either a liquid foundation or tinted moisturiser and buff it into the skin with a sponge. Sponges allow you to press your foundation into the skin for a flawless base. They also reabsorb any excess product so that you aren’t left with caking or cracking. To lock in that airbrushed effect, take some translucent powder and lightly pat it over areas of the face like your nose and under the eyes. This step will prevent the foundation from sinking into fine lines and drawing unwanted attention to your imperfections. Once your base is done, set it with a dewy setting spray. Now that you have a flawless base, the freedom is yours to focus on the brows, the lips, or taking is a less-is-more, fresh faced approach to a glam makeup look.   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Hair & Makeup | Brisbane (@twidalehairandmakeup)   2. Make It All About The Eyes The eyes are usually a telling sign of a glam makeup look. Generally, as a rule, the more pigment that you pack onto your lid, the more glam your makeup will look. Creating a cut-crease or dramatic winged liner is guaranteed to look fantastic. But you can also achieve a luxurious effect with minimal shadow and a set of false lashes. One of the most classic expressions of glamour in an evening look is the smokey eye. The emergence of more cream eyeshadows has made creating wearable smokey eyes so much easier. Focus your application on the upper lid, starting along the lash line towards the outer corner. Once you’ve applied the product, you can buff and blend outwards to create a beautiful matte or shimmer smokey eye. For more ideas on creative eye looks, read our blog here.   3. Refined Contour and Highlight Sometimes small changes can make a big difference to your glam makeup look. Mastering the technique of sculpting your face with contour and highlight is a great method for glamorising your makeup look. The role of contour and highlight is to accentuate the shape of your natural features by adding shadows and highlights. When contouring, you can create a slight appearance of a shadow by applying the product under your cheekbones and around your hairline. Applying bronzer on top of the cheekbones also helps to give you a radiant, tanned finish. A liquid or powder highlighter can help elevate a daytime look to the next level. You can highlight the high points of the face; the tip and bridge of the nose, cupid’s bow, and above the cheekbones.
